In our local area communities including Raleigh-Durham, NC and surrounding towns our care managers ask aging adults and their families to take the pledge to “change your salty ways”!
Salt is a sneaky enemy of good heart health. Lower your risk for heart attacks, hypertension and strokes by breaking up with your salt shaker. Salt finds its way into so many processed foods. Be alert when shopping for groceries and look for reduced sodium labels on products you buy. Spices are another way to kick salt to the curb and still have flavorful meals. We support healthy aging and staying young at heart (literally!).
