Katherine had lived all her life in the Washington DC Metro area until she moved close to the beach in NC about 20 years ago. Katherine has enjoyed being an occupational therapy assistant for over 30 years. She has provided therapy in her client’s home, assisted living, and skilled nursing communities. The knowledge and experience she has gained from working with seniors and their families has been invaluable to her.

 In addition to the clinical aspects of her career as an occupational therapy assistant, she enjoys assisting her clients with resources, coordination of care, and education to maximize their independence and enhance their quality of life. Katherine has a special interest in working with individuals diagnosed with dementia and their families. She is trained in the “Snow Approach” and is honored to offer families education about the stages of dementia and how to approach their loved ones in a way that conveys love and ensures quality of life.

Katherine and her husband love to spend time with their blended family of four adult children, and four grandkids with more to come. Creating memories through camping, cooking, 4-wheeling or just sharing a meal is very important to them. It’s this value of family that drives Katherine to take great strides to provide the best possible outcomes for her clients.
