Patti Sacchetti, BSW, MAG
Care Manager
Patti Sacchetti moved to the Wilmington area over 20 years ago after raising three daughters, determined to complete her long-desired degree in Social Work. Her studies included extensive training in available local resources in addition to regulatory oversight of assisted living facilities in Brunswick County. Patti gained experience serving individuals with mental health challenges on the multi-disciplinary ACT team with the Mental Health Association. She assisted in establishing their program for intensive in-home treatment services for children and worked with children in the community.
Upon completing her Bachelor of Social Work at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Patti’s passion for seniors and vulnerable adults was utilized as a supportive services coordinator at a local senior housing community. She then accepted the opportunity to advocate on a larger scale through the Cape Fear Area Agency on Aging as a Regional Long-Term Care Ombudsman covering Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover, and Pender counties. Patti worked with families and residents to resolve areas of concern regarding quality of life and care.
Patti then worked to obtain her master’s degree in Gerontology with a focus on social determinants of aging. Patti has worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life and care for seniors, serving over the last several years on the Board of Directors for Friends of Residents in Long-Term Care, as well as Brunswick Senior Resources, Inc.
In her free time, Patti loves to spend time with her husband and her eleven grandchildren, who are scattered across the country. She reads anything related to history and enjoys crafting! She loves making quilts and homemade cards.
