Patti Sacchetti, BSW, MAG, CPG
Aging Life Care® Associate Care Manager
Patti@Preferredlivingsolutions.com
Patti moved to the Wilmington area over 20 years ago after raising three daughters, completing her degree in Social Work at UNCW. Her studies included extensive training on available local resources and regulatory oversight of assisted living facilities in Brunswick County.
Patti’s passion for seniors and vulnerable adults has been put to use as a supportive services coordinator at a local senior housing community and, on a larger scale, through the Cape Fear Area Agency on Aging as a Regional Long-Term Care Ombudsman covering Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover, and Pender counties. Patti worked closely with families and residents to address concerns about quality of life and care.
Patti has obtained her master’s degree in Gerontology with a focus on social determinants of aging. She has served on the Board of Directors for the last several years for Friends of Residents in Long-Term Care and Brunswick Senior Resources, Inc. Patti is a Credentialed Professional Gerontologist with the National Association for Professional Gerontologists.
While serving in the capacities listed above, Patti has advocated for seniors from all walks of life. It’s this experience that she brings to Preferred Living Solutions and the clients she serves. She understands the obstacles that seniors face, the rights they are entitled to, and the voice of reason needed to accomplish what her clients want and need.
In her free time, Patti loves to spend time with her husband and her eleven grandchildren, who are scattered across the country, and enjoys reading history and crafting.
